Hannah's Socks was inspired by the story of a 4-year-old girl named Hannah Turner who offered her socks to a homeless man she met who had none.

To date Hannah's Socks has collect and distributed over 250,000 pairs of new socks to the many men women and children living in homeless, domestic abuse, and emergency shelters across Ohio. Thanks to the effort of students, businesses and community organizations who have engaged their classmates, colleague, families and friends and organized Sock Drives to Help our neighbors in need.

We collect donated materials in the form of new men's, women's and children's socks and undergarments, then leverage partnerships with local shelters for distribution to both the homeless and to victims of domestic abuse as well as to underprivileged youth.

We quickly learned that of all the materials donated to shelters, socks and undergarments are given the least and needed the most. They are a 'renewable need' that is constant for their clients, year-'round.

Coordinating a Sock Drive is a fun and simple way to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have fallen on hard times. If you are interested in organizing a drive Hannah's Socks will provide:
