Overview:
The Homeland Security Foundation of America ["HSFA"] is currently seeking a diverse group of professionals, government and foundation executives, public safety, energy and health and human services experts and/or community leaders, who will bring access and influence to HSFA. Current Volunteer Opportunity / Vacancy:
To ensure that HSFA is considered as one of the premiere community resource for volunteerism, recruitment and placement, particularly among concerned and potential individual volunteers; workplace teams; not for profits seeking leadership and program volunteers; other community entities that might partner with HSFA to fulfill their volunteer engagement needs Establish HSFA as the leader in advocacy for the power of volunteer engagement and the importance of inclusion and diversity in leadership and program level volunteer engagement. Work in partnership with community investment and communications team to identify volunteer opportunities in support of HSFA's community investment strategies. Create opportunities for building additional community partnerships. Represent HSFA at key community forums.
Job Description: As a Volunteer Event Coordinator (Honolulu, HI), you will lead development efforts and plan and coordinate special events and fund-raising programs. In addition, you will interact with foundations. Local travel. Candidate must have reliable transportation.
Job Requirements: The successful team player must have previous Event planning/coordination. The ability to organize and implement community programs, The candidate must possess excellent oral and written skills.
