ORGANIZATION: Family Service Rochester

Volunteers are needed to assist older adults with services that help them remain living independently in their own homes. Volunteers are "matched" with an older adult and provide routine service for that person. Volunteers help with services such as: grocery shopping, light cleaning, laundry, etc. depending on their interest. Days and times are flexible.

Description

Family Service Rochester (FSR) is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of services addressing mental health, child wellbeing, family stability, and senior independence.

FSR was founded in 1965 with a staff of three and the mission to support and enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in the community. From that small start-up offering counseling and homemaker services, the agency has grown to provide more than 30 programs to meet ever-changing community needs. Volunteers are vital to excellent service delivery to those individuals and families we work with.
