The volunteers of the King George Animal Rescue League have been working very hard to move animals out of our county pound and into rescue groups or adoptive homes. There is a lot of work involved and it's not something that one or two people can manage on their own. If you could help with any of the following, we would greatly appreciate it: Email the Free Lance Star once a week with the list of available animals. Post the available animals to Facebook, CraigsList, and other online sites. Again, all of the info that you need is in our weekly email. Call local rescue groups to see if they can take any of the animals at the King George pound. Transport animals from the pound to a local vet, and back. Transport animals from the pound to local rescue groups. Help with keeping animals up to date on our petfinder site. Volunteer at the pound to help socialize and exercise the cats and dogs. Please let us know if you are able to help with any of these tasks. Thank you so much!

Description
The King George Animal Rescue League is a non-profit 501c(3) organization providing food, shelter, medical care, and TLC to homeless and abused companion animals in our and surrounding communities. We rely heavily on the enormous efforts of volunteers to raise operating funds necessary for our focus on spaying and neutering and to provide day-to-day support that is needed to promote humane values of protection, care, and compassion for companion animals. We also accept private donations and receive grant aid to further our efforts to reduce pet overpopulation.
