GIVE SOMETHING THAT MEANS SOMETHING! As a Blood Services Transfer Driver you will ensure that the gift of life arrives safely and efficiently at its destination. Blood Services Transfer Drivers interact with staff and other volunteers, and transport blood products from our Blood Services Center to where it is needed most.

To be a Transfer Driver volunteer you must be 21 years old, have a good driving record, and a class "E" license. (The Red Cross will reimburse for the extra cost associated with obtaining your class "E" license) Successful volunteer drivers are reliable, detail oriented, familiar with the St. Louis Metro area, able to lift 50 lbs, and can manuever a hand cart loaded with 75 lbs.

To ensure you have safe and satisfying volunteer experience, we provide Defensive Driving and Fleet Policy training, On-The-Job training with an experienced driver, a road test, and up-to-the-minute information and training while you are part of our driver corps.

Take a drive and save lives. One blood donation can save the lives of up to three people. Be the person who saves lives by volunteering to be a Blood Transfer Driver.
