Goal of the Long Term Volunteer Program: To feed the hungry, the homeless and the poor. to help people overcome what keeps them in poverty. SOME has 28 programs to help achieve these goals.
Type of Placement: Accountant, business/clerical worker, secretary, building tradeperson, health care worker, mechanic, poverty relief services worker, volunteer coordinator, social justice minister, group home staff, cook, housekeeper, counselor, dental care worker, drug/alcohol counselor, emergency shelter staff doctors and nurses.
