Share the gift of reading! Tutor an English-speaking adult at Work Furlough, a minimum-security correctional facility in Camarillo. You will work with the same person until he/she is released and then be matched with a new student if desired.
Lessons may range from basic literacy skills to GED preparation. Free training and materials provided by READ Adult Literacy.

The goal of Ventura County Library's READ Program is to help adults improve their reading and writing skills so that they perceive a positive impact on their lives in such areas as self-esteem, employment, family life, and community involvement.
