At the Survivor Services Department of Boat People SOS, we strive to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate case management to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence from around the world.
We are currently serving an Arabic speaking family, but need an interpreter to help us communicate and cannot afford to pay a professional service.
You do not have to be fluent in Arabic, just proficient. We will be happy to give you tips on interpreting and working with clients.
Interpreting can be done over the phone, so this is a virtual volunteer opportunity and we will work around your schedule as much as possible.
Volunteer interpreters will help us interpret on case management issues (daily life issues, including housing, transportation, referrals to community services, concerns etc.).

Boat People SOS, Inc. (BPSOS) is a national nonprofit organization with 28 years of service. We are dedicated to assisting Vietnamese refugees and immigrants in their search for freedom and a dignified life. We provide direct services to clients in the areas of community development, health and mental health, survivor services, family services, and emergency preparedness and response.
