Thursday Night Visitor Services Volunteer

Description

The Visitor Services volunteer serves as a front-line representative of the National Museum. The volunteer is responsible for: greeting Museum visitors; providing current, accurate information about the Museum to visitors and occasionally with information on surrounding areas; orientating visitors to the layout and resources of the Museum; providing current and future exhibition and programming information; answering general questions about the Museum and occasionally about the surrounding area.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal with personal contacts in a courteous, friendly, tactful and positive manner. Desire to promote the Museum and its exhibitions and programming.
