Do your friends/family members call you an "early bird?" Are you interested in assisting the #1 Family Friendly Zoo in the US with special events? Then, on Saturday, August 27th, we have a great volunteer opportunity for you! On this date, we're seeking friendly volunteers who could assist us with our Zoo RunRun 5K Run/Walk by helping greet guest, assisting with directions on the track, helping with handouts, assisting with the setup and breakdown of the event, and more from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Limited volunteer positions are available- so please make sure to reply and reserve your position soon! *As a special perk, volunteers will be able to stay after their shift to enjoy the Zoo as our guest

An independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to providing exemplary programs in education, recreation, conservation and research to benefit the general public and to enhance the quality of life in Tampa Bay. Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo also exists as a center for conservation of endangered wildlife both locally and around the globe.
Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
The Zoo’s primary objectives are:
- To be widely accessible to our diverse community,
- To play an active role in conservation and environmental issues affecting animals and habitats throughout Florida and the world,
- To be an educational resource for our community, and
- To provide a safe and exciting attraction for families and guests.
