Because of you, a patient with a life limiting condition or their family could experience peace and comfort at a difficult time. Because of the gift of your presence, a hospice patient will know they matter and that someone cares. Volunteers are integral part of Beacon Hospice's team approach to care that focuses on comfort, dignity and peace for the patient and their family. A hospice volunteer offers companionship, support, a helping hand. No matter who you are, you have something to offer and can make a profound difference in a person's life whether it is a 15 minute visit, writing letters, playing music, or just sitting quietly, holding a patient's hand. Volunteers are needed through Salisbury, Amesbury, Merrimac, Haverhill, Methuen, Lawrence, Andover, North Andover, Dracut, Lowell, Billerica, Westford, and Chelmsford. Help with craft projects is also welcome. Flexible schedule to meet your availablity. Volunteers are provided with comprehensive training and on-going support. We offer group training classes and 1-on-1 5 hour training session.. Please call or email to learn more about this rewarding and life affirming experience.
