Have Fun This Summer Helping Kids Explore Science

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CuriOdyssey

Exhibit Facilitators create a more meaningful and memorable experience for visitors by interpreting CuriOdyssey’s hands-on science exhibits--encouraging children to freely explore, play, and experiment with scientific phenomena such as patterns in nature, sound, magnetism, light, and energy.

  • Interpret hands-on science exhibits on an informal basis.
  • Lead science based activities alongside the exhibits.
  • Pose questions which encourage children to think at a deeper level.
  • Serve as a general source of information and assistance for visitors.
  • Assist with basic exhibit maintenance.

Time Commitment: Seven 9:30am-1:00pm shifts during the summer (June-August).

Required Training: Saturday, June 10 (9am-4pm).

Minimum Age Requirement: Entering 11th grade or above in Fall 2017. (Exceptional entering 10th graders may apply.)

To apply: Download a volunteer application at www(dot)CuriOdyssey(dot)org. Apply by May 15. Priority will be given to applications received by May 1.
