Description

Plant Trees and help restore the Carter Creek watershed in Lake Oswego at SOLV's Team Up For Watershed Health sites on Saturday, December 13th. By planting native trees and shrubs in this area volunteers will be creating habitat for future generations of birds, small mammals, and fish. Plantings start at 9 am and end by 12 pm.

The Carter Creek site lies on the private property extending from the Oregon State Bar building to a large pond approximately 1,200ft downstream. The area has been developed by Shorenstein Realty. Neighbors have formed a group to care for the creek. The goals of the project are to enhance the stream corridor, wildlife habitat and improve water quality. Project partners include Shorenstein Realty Services, Clackamas County Forest Program, Friends of Carter Creek, Metro's Nature in the Neighborhood Program, and Autodesk Inc.

For more information and to register visit the Team up For Watershed Health Website, http://www.solv.org/programs/teamup_watershed_health.asp or call Brett Lyon at 503-844-9571 x 332. Event information is found at the very bottom of the page. Put on your boots, grab a shovel, and come dig in! We hope to see you out in your watershed!
