It's time for the 2 nd Annual Jingle Bell Run & Walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation! This is the event thousands of runners and walkers have been waiting for since 1998. The Jingle Bell Run & Walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation will be on Saturday, December 13 that Riverfront Park in Downtown Spokane. In order to make this event a tremendous success, we are looking to you to be one of our 140 volunteers. Take a look at the short descriptions of our various volunteer positions and let us know how you would like to get involved. Simply fill in your personal information and job options on the back of this page and return. Most of the positions will notallow you to participate in the event.

  • Early Set-Up: 6:00-8:00 (Outdoor) Help us look good. Set-up our stage and put up banners. Six Needed. Greeters: 6:30-9:00 (Outdoor) Share your cheery disposition with us. Answer questions as participants arrive at River Park Square. Must feel comfortable shouting directions to a large crowd. Ten Needed. Registration: 6:00-10:00 (Indoor) Record the names, addresses and information of the participants. You will collect their money, give them a shirt and event number. It will be loud and busy, so good listening and organizational skills are essential for this job. Twelve Needed. Will-Call / T-shirt: 6:00-10:00 (Indoor) Participants who signed up online or by mail need to pick up their event number and shirt. Lend us your organizational skills by helping support our Will-Call area. Nine Needed. Directions : 6:30-9:00 (Indoor & Outdoor) Help direct participants as they enter to register or pick up their shirts. If you like telling people what to do, and like to be heard, this is the job for you. Four Needed. Course Marshals (5K) : 7:30-10:45 (Outdoor) Work with event committee to ensure participants are on course. Be sure to cheer on the participants! Twenty Needed. Course Marshals (1K): 7:30 - 8:30 (Outdoor) Work with event officials to ensure children stay safe and on the course. Four Needed. Children's Run : 8:00-9:00 (Outdoor) Assist in the start and finish of event. Four Needed. Finish Line: 7:30-11:00 (Outdoor) Assist in providing event results. Operate timers, record times, collect finish tags and help move the crowd. Ten Needed. Water/Food Finish Line 7:00-11:00 (Outdoor) As racers finish, they pick up refreshments and snacks. Make sure the water cups are filled. Good job for younger volunteers with adult supervisor. Ten Needed. Elf Village : 7:30 - 11:00 (Outdoor, inside tent) Dress up in Elf costumes to wear inside our tent for the children. Run a game, help with a craft, man the information table or be one of Santa's Helpers! Also, participate with the children during the Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists' 1K Children's Run with the Elves. Ten Needed Carolers: 7:00 - 11:00 (Indoor & Outdoor) Great opportunity for church or school choirs to sign up as a group. Looking for 6-7 groups of 5 or more people to be placed inside River Park Square during registration, along the 5k course and throughout the outdoor plaza. Thirty Needed Garbage & Recycle Team: 8:00 - 12:00 (Outdoor) Take down fencing, signage and help clean up the area. Ten Needed.
