We are looking for people just like you to volunteer your time visiting with our patients on Hospice. Your visits will make the time left to our patients, very precious. Each patient has a life limiting illness and would benefit from your visits tremendously. Sitting with the patient and holding their hand, reading to them, listening to music or watching TV would be helpful and most of all make them feel special, loved, wanted and not alone and isolated. Our goal is to make our patients as comfortable as possible, spiritually, physically and emotionally. A touch, a kind word and just your presence during this time will make an impact on the life they have left to live. It is an honor to share someone's last days, and you can be a part of making these days as memorable and loving as possible. All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training before entering the patients home. We also require each volunteer to have a TB test, a drug screening (Hep B vaccination is offered but not mandatory) and a criminal background check, all at no cost to you .
