Volunteer Tax Preparers are needed for Buck$Back, a free tax preparation service for low and moderate income Bucks County residents. Tax sites are staffed by certified volunteers and feature e-file, preset appointments, refreshments, and other services, such as credit counseling, by appointment or referral.
Since it began ten years ago, Buck$ Back has generated refunds and credits totaling more than $13,000,000 for low and moderate income families in Bucks County. With the help of sixty or more volunteers each year, Bucks$ Back has helped hundreds of low-income filers across Bucks County improve their financial situation.
Training will occur in various sessions fall 2014; tax preparation from late January 2015 through April 2015. Locations in Warminster, Levittown and Perkasie.

Bucks County Opportunity Council, Inc. is a non-profit Community Action Agency established in 1965. Our mission is to help low-income people in Bucks County achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency. We provide a broad range of self-sufficiency, emergency and preventative, free tax preparation, financial literacy and asset development, food assistance and weatherization services. Our services are based on the principle that empowering people with the education, training, resources and skills necessary to permanently leave poverty is far more beneficial than helping them cope in poverty. We work closely with human services organizations, faith-based organizations and others to address local needs and issues affecting low-income individuals and families.
