LJA is looking to expand our after-school tutoring program, and we need your help! Many LJA students have mandatory tutoring to ensure their understanding of subjects and to help them meet set standards on state testing. This position entails working with grades 5-8 after school from 3:30 - 5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it's a great opportunity to develop a mentor-type relationship with students. We would love for volunteers to have experience working with youth and feel comfortable tutoring in either math or literacy for middle-school aged students.

Laura Jeffrey Academy (LJA),is a Twin Cities tuition free charter school offering a unique year round, girl-focused educational experience, grades five through eight. Students learn through rigorous study, by asking questions, solving problems, and participating in the community.
