Every Saturday, the SMMTC leads a crew of volunteers into the local mountains to work on a trail. You'll be fixing dangerous sections where the tread has been washed out and cutting back brush that's blocking access. Help open up the great outdoors for everyone to enjoy.

Mission Statement
The Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council is a volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing and maintaining the public trail system throughout the Santa Monica Mountains, through advocacy and partnership with public and private sectors.
Description
Since 1972, the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council has been the only organization devoted to representing all trail user groups in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Our volunteers are maintaining a trail somewhere in the Park almost every weekend year-round. Our monthly Board meetings are attended by both State and National Park representatives and the public is welcome.
