Teach children about the Colorado River in Texas (aka Lady Bird Lake and Lake Austin) and water conservation! Educators (aka docents) help us with our dynamic programs - including field trips and in classroom activities.

During field trips, volunteers work together to lead groups of 15 students through our beautiful outdoor Redbud park facilities. Through hands-on activities and educational games, children learn about water conservation, the water cycle, water sources and watersheds, and the history and geography of the Colorado River in Texas.

Get ready to meet the amazing science enthusiasts who already volunteer with us! Don't worry - we provide an in depth training that will give you the knowledge and skills you need to be a great team member.

Volunteers must be available between 9am and 2pm at least once a month.
