Working as part of an integrated Case Management team, volunteers are needed to mentor residents by assisting with job search and/or accompanying residents to important appointments. Also need to be willing to talk to residents about their week, problems they may be having, etc.

• Duties: 1. Assist resident with job search; accompany resident to apply or interview for jobs. 2. Provide guidance to resident based on past experiences. 3. Help resident identify problems and solutions. 4. Be there for resident to talk to when needed, encourage growth and achievement by providing an open and supportive environment. 5. Help resident build confidence and self esteem. 6. Provide transportation to and from important appointments as needed. Qualifications: · Communication skills, tact, and good judgment. · Candidates should be friendly and reliable. · Must be able to balance empathy/ structure. · Independent transportation helpful. · Must have knowledge of AA/NA and/or working with addiction.
