Gentle Touch Animal Sanctuary Volunteer Scheduler

Duties: Coordinate the schedules of the volunteers at Gentle Touch Animal Sanctuary, including the volunteers at the PetSmart locations; determine needs of GTAS to cover all shifts and match volunteer skills with duties required during that shift. May include finding volunteers to pick up or deliver animals to PetSmart locations. Volunteers will report vacations and other absences to Volunteer Scheduler; Scheduler will then find appropriate replacements to cover the absent volunteer's shift. Work with Volunteer Coordinator to plan best volunteer schedule necessary to meet GTAS needs; report schedules and any schedule changes to Volunteer Coordinator.

Qualifications: Previous experience in either work or volunteer scheduling preferred; online access is required; ability to keep information confidential; must understand animal care, particularly cats and dogs; must be understanding of volunteer's situation as the volunteer is giving freely of their time for GTAS but also that animal care is the top priority.

This position may be done at home with flexible hours.
