Project Homeless Connect

Description

Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event providing services to men, women and families experiencing homelessness-- connecting them with benefits, medical care, employment opportunities, substance abuse and mental health counseling, social services, food, emergency shelter and transitional housing information.


Homeless Services Network of Central Florida sponcers Project Homeless Connect events accross Central Florida, including Orlando, Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties. More than 40 nonprofit agencies, faith-based groups, government agencies and businesses partcipate in each event.

Volunteers are needed toserve food, greet guests, walk guests through services, hand out hygiene bags, help with registration, and assist with set-up andbreakdown. Volunteers will also receive a t-shirt and lunch.

  • Mandatory Training will be held at the Downtown Recreation Center on Monday, December 1, 2008. Please attend one of the following sessions: 11 am - 12:30 pm OR 7 pm - 8:30 pm
