Volunteer to provide opportunities to youth with parents in the National Guard throughout Washington state. Volunteers are needed to:
- Assist with youth events - be an additional chaperone, marketing for event, help with registration, event set up, etc
- Trainers - looking for volunteers to be trained in First Aid/CPR / Babysitting curriculum through Red Cross or other curriculums to teach our youth
- Camp - be a staff member at summer camp (August), commit to a week at summer camp
- Family Fun Day events - help us put together family fun day events for military families (Trunk or Treat, Holiday events, Easter, Summer, etc)
- Resource Fairs - Represent our program at various events where a resource table is needed,
- Craft Developer - looking for someone to create crafts that tie in with events / holidays
- Volunteer Recruitement Manager - help manage and schedule our volunteer force
- and much more.
- Write letters to service members currently serving
- Put together care packages
- Write letters to National Guard Youth
- Support Family Fun Day events
- Put together a fun opportunity for National Guard youth/families to attend (Mother/Daughter Tea, Daddy/Daughter Dance, carnival, etc)

The mission of the Washington National Guard Child & Youth Program is to promote and develop high quality programs, in conjunction with our community partnerships, which provide National Guard youth with opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, self-awareness, academic achievements, and a better understanding of being a military child, especially during times of military deployment.
Description
The Washington National Guard Child & Youth Program strives to provide training opportunities to youth who have parents or family in the National Guard. Youth need support while dealing with the deployment of a parent / family member.
