Project Aware Volunteers present information in Kansas City area elementary schools to children grades K-5. Volunteers teach children how to identify sexual abuse, how to protect themselves and what to do if someone tries to touch their 'private parts'. Time commitment is dependent upon number of education requests and speaker availability, but daytime availability is preferred.

MOCSA exists to lessen the ill effects of sexual assault and abuse through prevention, education, intervention, treatment and advocacy.
Description
Since 1975 the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) has been assisting victims of sexual abuse and assault throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. MOCSA offers a 24-Hour Crisis Line (816-531-0233 in Missouri and 913-642-0233 in Kansas); hospital, police and court advocacy; crisis intervention counseling for victims of sexual assault/rape; support groups for victims of sexual assault/rape; therapy for victims of child sexual abuse; support groups for adult survivors of child sexual abuse; an agency resource library; community education programs for youth and adults; professional education programs and a volunteer program.
