Twice per year, GoodDogz.org hosts a large adoption event where we invite rescue groups from around the DC metro area to come out and talk to potential owners about adopting dogs. Each event leads to 50 dogs getting adopted and finding permanent homes. Our fall event is called Home for the Holidays and is held on the first Saturday of November.

During the Home for the Holidays event, GoodDogz.org provides information regarding the event and dog adoption at our booth, supports the needs of the rescues and manages the ongoing activities at the event.

GoodDogz.org is looking for volunteers to spend 2-4 hours with us during the event to help with the above mentioned activities. Individuals who are interested in volunteering at the event should contact Mark Bates at mark@gooddogz.org with the time they are able to volunteer. GoodDogz.org is looking for volunteers to assist us between 9:00 and 4:30 the day of the event. Individuals can volunteer for all or a portion of the event.

• General: The only skills that are needed are the willingness to learn about new organizations and work with others to help ensure the event is a success. Dress is casual and sneakers are encouraged since volunteers will be on their feet during much of the event.
