ORGANIZATION: Giving Children Hope

Giving Children Hope is a faith-based partner providing sustainable hope through wellness programs and disaster response in collaboration with local and global communities. We do this through the gathering and giving of Basic Needs, Nutritional Foods, and Medical Resources.

Our organization sustains its mission by the commitment of our volunteers.

As the landscaping volunteer, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our facility. This includes mowing the lawns twice a month, trimming the hedges, trimming the trees, weeding, and edging.

At Giving Children Hope, we have a great staff and many volunteers to get to know. This is a great position for someone who enjoys being outside, having the warm southern california sun on your face, and who enjoys being behind the scenes in making a difference in lives worldwide!

Random Fact:

The lawn mower was invented in 1830 by Edwin Beard Budding, an engineer from Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. He obtained the idea after seeing a machine in a local cloth mill which used a cutting cylinder (or bladed reel) mounted on a bench to trim cloth to make a smooth finish after weaving!
