Position Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator oversees all transportation requests for cancer patients. The Coordinator utilizes American Cancer Society volunteer services to meet the transportation need of the patient.
Responsibilities:
Receives requests for transportation and assigns drivers to fulfill those requests. Provides status to staff partner concerning filled and unfilled transportation requests.
Records all transportation services provided.
Maintains accurate records of volunteer drivers.
Reports problems to the staff partner.
With the staff partner, assesses available transportation alternatives.
With staff partner, recruits transportation volunteers.
