Description
New Eyes for the Needy was founded in 1932 to provide eyeglasses to poor children and adults. In the United States, we raise money to purchase new prescription glasses for people of all ages throughout the 50 states. To help indigent people around the world, we sort hundreds of thousands of donated glasses, repackage them, and they are sent to developing countries to be given free of charge to those in need.
We welcome new volunteers to help us sort donated glasses. We will train you, and in one session you will learn the process. Opportunities are available on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, year-round, between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
