We need volunteers to teach in classrooms in Clark County, Champaign County, Logan County, and Madison County, Ohio. Must enjoy interacting with children. Volunteer may specify age or grade level preferred to work with. Junior Achievement will provide all of the materials and training needed to teach these fun filled activity based financial literacy, work & career readiness and entrepreneurship.

The commitment is usually 45 minutes in length per session, and most sessions are 5-7 weeks in length. You will need to adhere to COVID guidelines that is set by the school district.

Volunteering for Junior Achievement is very rewarding, and young people need mentors more now than ever. Make a positive effect on the lives of young people by volunteering to teach Junior Achievement.

Description

Programs span grades K-12, with age-appropriate curricula designed to teach elementary students about their roles as individuals, workers, and consumers and to prepare middle grade and high school students for key economic, personal finance, and workforce issues they will face.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Each class is 5-7 weeks in length, 45 minutes a session. We do have some JA IN A DAY opportunities, where you teach all sessions in one day.
  • You must be willing to submit a fbi/bci check if requested by the school. You must love working with students and a passion for helping young people succeed in a global economy.
