Administrative/Office Volunteer

Description

Become the friendly voice of the Arthritis Foundation and an integral part of helping the Rocky Mountain Chapter Office succeed in its mission! Volunteers in our main chapter office will support the staff in all areas of the organization with tasks like: answering telephone calls; greeting visitors; data entry for our programs; assist in mailings; literature inventory and many other projects. Volunteers should be personal, professional, organized, motivated and reliable. Previous office experience is helpful and computer skills are desirable. We are looking for help in the chapter office for at least one, 2-hour shifts Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Experience using a computer is mandatory for this position.

Skills

  • Telephone, Computer: All administrative/office volunteers must have experience using a computer and the Internet for research and information collection as well as typing. Volunteers should also feel comfortable answering telephones and transferring calls as needed. Volunteers will attend an Arthritis Foundation volunteer orientation where they will gain a general overview of the Foundation, its programs and general information on arthritis, treatments and resources. Volunteers will also receive training on using the phone system, donor database and other pertinent systems.
