Franklin County Children Services helps abused and neglected children and their families. Services are provided to strengthen the family and assist parents in meeting their responsibility to assure the well-being of their children. Thousands of children are helped...and yet, Children Services can't do it alone. Many children under the care of Children Services rely on volunteers/mentors to guide them through difficult times. Youngsters who have experienced abuse and neglect look forward to spending time and sharing activities with their special friends. These volunteers/mentors share time with the children they are matched with at least twice a month, doing fun things and helping the children feel good about themselves. FCCS also offers an opportunity to volunteer at our Crisis Center located in Whitehall. Volunteers at the Crisis Center provide comfort and support to youth who are spending time at the center.
