Do you love to bake? or cook? Do you love to share your efforts with others? You are invited to share your efforts and compassion by preparing simple, homemade items for patients and their families visiting our 20 bed InPatient Unit. A warm, tasty dish or a fresh baked treat brings comfort and nourishment to patients and their familes, allowing them to be nurtured as they focus on the needs of their loved ones.
Requirements:
Cooking and/or baking can be scheduled regularly or on an occasional basis, according to your availability. You may cook and bake in the comfort of your own home and bring your tasty treats to the unit at your convenience. A full kitchen in the inpatient unit is also available.

Mission Statement
Penn Medicine Hospice's mission is to comfort and support patients and families who are experiencing a life-limiting illness. We accomplishes this through service, educating the public and the healthcare community about hospice principles and practices, and continuing to evaluate and modify hospice policies and services.
Description
Our holistic philosophy takes a pro-active approach to pain and symptom management and recognizes that pain extends beyond the physical. We address the symptoms of each patient's illness as well as the emotional and spiritual concerns of the patient, caregiver and family - assisting patients and loved ones with the challenges that come with death and dying.
Hospice care provides a way for patients to take control of their life and treatment, encouraging them to take an active role in the important medical and legal decisions that affect them and those around them. Our multidisciplinary hospice team provides a wide range of care and support, allowing patients to live out their final months comfortably, in control, and with the dignity and respect they deserve.
