To develop a long-term friendship with a youth in an effort to be a role model, confident, and guide for a young person. You will help imprower youth by increasing their self-esteem, gain life skills, and engage in pro-social activites. Provide opportunities for youth to be succesfull and feel they are cared about. You will recieve training and be in a site-based location that has a vareity of activites for the match to partipcate in. Volunteering of this nature will be beneficial to teens who are thinking of applying to some form of higher education especially in the field of education and child development.

Description
4-H Youth Mentoring in Clinton County provides at risk youth in the area with the knowledge and skills to make postive life choices and become successful adults by providing them with adult and teen mentors who will be a positive influence on their development. Their are two site based mentoring programs in Clinton County; the Key Mentoring Program and the Key Book Club. Both programs match youth with a mentor who meets with them once a week for two hours for the duration of the school year.
