Court Appointed Special Advocates Enjoy Life
You can make a difference for a child!

Volunteer Child Advocates are a friend to a child in the foster care system, working one-on-one with children who have been abused or neglected. You work with the child welfare system to provide in-depth information to the judge regarding a child's needs and circumstances. You meet with the child once a week for the duration of the court process, usually a minimum of a year. In addition to the time spent with the child, advocates contact schools, doctors and others who work with the child to ensure the child's needs are met. Advocates are provided 30 hours of initial training, continuing education opportunities, and on-going direct supervision from CASA staff. You may also visit our webpage: http://www.humboldtcasa.org/ to download application materials. Call 707-443-3197 for further information.
