Description
Girl Scouting makes a difference... and so can you!
Troop Leaders are needed to start new Girl Scout troops for all ages throughout Lewis County. You can help by volunteering to be a Troop Leader, Assistant Troop Leader, or Co-Leader for the 2008-2009 school year!
By volunteering in your own neighborhood, you can give girls the opportunity and confidence to- explore new things,
- discover hidden abilities, and
- learn new skills
...so that they can grow to be courageous and strong.
Skills
Volunteers must have:
- Experience or interest working with girls
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to have fun
No prior Girl Scout experience required!
All volunteers must be over 18 and undergo an application process including a criminal background check.
Must become a registered member of GSUSA ($10 annual fee, assistance may be available).
Required and optional orientation and training are provided by GSWW for free at flexible times.
