In Defense of Animals is looking for some experienced, passionate, and skilled grant writers to take our work to the next level. Our grant writers research potential funding to identify and apply for appropriate RFPs and grant opportunities. If you are looking to expand your resume or just help some animals, please consider this opportunity! This position can be remote and project-based.

In Defense of Animals is a 501(3)(c) international non-profit organization dedicated to ending the exploitation and abuse of animals by raising the status of animals beyond that of mere property, commodities or things, and by defending their rights, welfare and habitats. IDA's efforts include educational events, cruelty investigations, boycotts, grassroots activism, and hands-on rescue through our sanctuaries in rural Mississippi, Cameroon, Africa and Mumbai, India. The world headquarters are located in San Rafael, California.

Skills desired: prior grant writing experience, stellar writing abilities, and a solid understanding of fundraising.

Pluses: A love of animals, a sense of humor, and an appreciation for vegan snacks.
