The most flexible volunteer opportunity you will find anywhere! Volunteer Drivers set their own driving schedule (times, days, frequency) and geographic locations - choosing rides from an easy online schedule of all rides available for the next week, month, etc.; Drivers use their own cars to pick up a senior neighbor, take them to their medical appointment, grocery store, etc. and return them home (Northwest Austin, Cedar Park, and Leander areas) Minimal commitment - once a month or once a week, flexible to fit volunteers' schedules; over 750 rides each month to choose from!

To enhance the quality of life of older adults by providing transportation and other support services in the Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander areas. The overall goal is to assist seniors to remain independent and in their own homes.
Description
Faith in Action -Drive a Senior Northwest (formerly known as Far Northwest Caregivers) is a charitable, volunteer-based organization offering free services to ambulatory seniors (60 and older) who live in far Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander. Services include: transportation, social activities, friendly visitors, telephone reassurance, loan closet, information and referral and other support services.
