It's time for the 3rd annual SNAP Spay Neuter Action Project/Last Chance for Animals RUMMAGE SALE at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas! All proceeds go to help animals. Sale is Sept 13th 8am-3pm

There are lots of ways you can help with the Spay Neuter Action Project (SNAP)/Last Chance for Animals (LCA) rummage sale on Saturday, 9/13.
1. SALE DROP-OFF LOCATIONS NEEDED: To have a successful sale, we need drop-off locations for people to bring their donations! If you have a garage, carport, or any area with some extra room that you can lend to the cause. It would be great to have locations in various areas of the county.

2. TRUCKS AND VANS (OR CARS!) NEEDED FOR TRANSPORT: We also need volunteers to pick up the donations from the drop-off locations and bring them to the sale from 7-8 am Sunday, 9/13. And volunteers to cart away the unsold items from 3-5 pm (you can take them anyplace you like - there's a nearby Salvation Army truck and Community Resource Center.)

3. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE SALE: The big fun of volunteering at the sale is watching first-hand as all the miscellaneous items we collect are turned into cold, hard cash to help the animals! It's also nice to see all the people who are excited to find things they need at super bargain prices... well, maybe they don't technically "need" everything they find but they're still excited.

Volunteer shifts at the sale are:

7 am - noon: Includes helping to display all the donations as they arrive, and helping to sell them! Let us know if there's a special job you want. We need cashiers (especially bilingual), unpackers, clothing displayers, pricers (for donations that arrive unpriced), etc. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF EVERY VOLUNTEER COULD BRING THEIR OWN VEHICLE FULL OF DONATIONS FROM THEMSELVES AND THEIR FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, AND NEIGHBORS! PLEASE USE THE ATTACHED FLYER TO SOLICIT TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS.

noon - 5 pm: The sale ends at 3 pm and then it takes a couple of hours to pack up all the unsold clothing and other things and haul them away. That's always the most tiring part of the day, and the more help the better!

3-5 pm: If you'd like to help pack up and haul stuff away. (trucks, suv's and vans especially helpful!)

IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO COME AT 3 PM AND TAKE WHATEVER IS LEFT, THAT WOULD BE GREAT TOO!

• There's no minimum age to volunteer at this event -- volunteers of all ages are welcome! Volunteers under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Every SNAP volunteer must fill out an application/waiver; parents must sign for those under 18. All 12-18 yr olds being dropped off to volunteer must check in with Dorell before getting started.
