The W2W Student Leadership Team is comprised of young people ages 14-21, who want to be a positive influence in their community. The team meets once a week to create media content for W2W Healthy You(tm). Twice a semester, they present in schools throughout West Michigan promoting the pursuit of healthy relationships and sexual risk avoidance.

Serving on the W2W Student Leadership Team offers experience in several skill sets, such as: content development (film and graphic design), acting, public speaking, and leadership. By serving on the team, students gain volunteer hours, scholarship opportunities, and experience for college applications and resumes.

Description

PRC Grand Rapids is a local, nonprofit, organization serving the needs of the Greater Grand Rapids community in West Michigan. PRC works in the areas of Proactive Education, Responsive Medical Care, and Compassionate Support Services. PRC’s Proactive Education staff provides sexual and relational health classes in area schools and youth organizations. Without judgment, the medical personnel of PRC’s Responsive Medical Care department provide no-cost pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and low-cost STD testing and treatment. PRC’s Wyoming location is where Compassionate Support Service staff and volunteers walk alongside parents with material needs, parenting education, and encouragement.
