CLIENT ADVOCATE AT OUR DOWNTOWN OFFICE: Meet with clients, follow up by telephone and/or personal contact, and make community referrals. This person should have a professional background in nursing, human service work, or social work. You will be asked to attend 8-9 weeks of on-the-job training as well as in-service training as provided. We ask you to volunteer one four-hour shift weekly with a one-year commitment.

Description
PRC Grand Rapids is a local, nonprofit, organization serving the needs of the Greater Grand Rapids community in West Michigan. PRC works in the areas of Proactive Education, Responsive Medical Care, and Compassionate Support Services. PRC’s Proactive Education staff provides sexual and relational health classes in area schools and youth organizations. Without judgment, the medical personnel of PRC’s Responsive Medical Care department provide no-cost pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and low-cost STD testing and treatment. PRC’s Wyoming location is where Compassionate Support Service staff and volunteers walk alongside parents with material needs, parenting education, and encouragement.
