Description
Red Cross blood services volunteers help blood donors either before or after their donations. Pre-donation, the volunteer welcomes the donor and has them sign in and read the required "What You Must Know" booklet. Post-donation, the volunteer monitors donors for any signs of a reaction to the donation process while offering them juice and cookies. Opportunities at the donor center (3525 Atlanta Highway) combine pre- and post-donation assistance as well as reception, telephone and appointment duties.
Skills
Excellent customer service skills are required. Must follow Red Cross protocol and be professional in appearance and demeanor.
