Are you 55 or older and eager to make your community a better place? Join AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of Metro Atlanta, a volunteer program that mobilizes seasoned adults to serve as peer educators and advocates.

As an RSVP Disaster Preparedness Advocate you will help older adults increase awareness on how to prepare their homes, pets and themselves for all types of emergency situations. All volunteers receive PowerPoints, suggested scripts, handouts, training, and full support. Here's what you'll do:

  • Select the presentation opportunity of your choice. (Common locations include Zoom rooms, senior centers, senior apartments, faith communities, and other gathering places.)
  • Make a one-hour presentation and distribute handouts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality standards
