UpliftedCare, founded as Hospice of Kankakee Valley needs you!
Join us as a volunteer and take part in helping in our offices, at our grief center, with patients, or at special events. Volunteers include college students, stay at home spouses and parents, professionals, and retirees Along with learning new skills and contributing to your community, you will make such a difference to our care of patients and families dealing with serious illnesses. Our volunteers tell us often that, while they give, they also "get" so much out of their role.
Note: We follow all public health and CDC guidelines for the mitigation of Covid 19, and work hard to keep our staff and volunteers safe. We also screen volunteers and staff regularly to ensure the safety of our patients and families.

The Mission of UpliftedCare, founded as Hospice of Kankakee Valley is to provide compassionate physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to individuals living with terminal illness and their families throughout our service area. We strive to provide comprehensive palliative comfort care services, regardless of ability to pay, in a manner that maintains the dignity and independence of the person and family.
Description
UpliftedCare, originally founded as Hospice of Kankakee Valley, has been the area’s only not-for-profit community-supported hospice. We provide compassionate physical, emotional, spiritual, and social support to terminally ill individuals and their families.
We provide excellence in hospice and palliative care through traditional programs and services, as well as, complementary therapies including music therapy, massage therapy, and pet programs.
