Saving lives, creating families since 2006

Pet Rescue of Maryland, Inc., a local, all volunteer, non-euthanizing foster rescue, needs your help to save the lives of homeless cats, kittens, puppies and dogs.

We always need fosters for our animals. You provide the safe environment and love, we provide the rest.

Can't foster? Help out at our adoption events, held three Saturdays each month from 2 - 5 p.m. at local pet supply retailers in Timonium, Hunt Valley and Owings Mills. We need help handling and showing the animals, taking applications, interacting with potential adopters.

On the administrative side, we need help maintaining vetting logs, answering emails, screening adoption applications, doing home visits, and fundraising.

We also need volunteers to do rescue transports and vet runs.

Mission Statement

Pet Rescue of Maryland is a donation driven, non-profit, volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

Description

All of our animals come from "kill" shelters when euthanasia becomes inevitable. We foster these animals in our homes so that we can provide the most comfortable and humane environment. By being in a natural home setting we are able to assess each dog and cat and address any behavioral or medical needs the animal may have. The high success rate of our adoptions is due to our ability to understand the needs of our foster pets and match them with families that provide the best "forever homes".
