Love animals? Become a volunteer with the Animal Rescue League of El Paso.
Do you have compassion in your heart and a few hours a week to help? If you do, we'd love to have you!
Here are just a few of the many areas you can help with:
- Walk dogs
- Train and socialize dogs
- Feed and play with cats
- Clean the kennels, cat crates, and/or cat rooms
- Help with laundry (we have a washer and dryer on site)
- Provide temporary Foster care for recovering or special needs animals, young puppies/kittens, animals requiring socialization help
- Provide office assistance
- Work as Adoption Representatives
- Shelter Maintenance/Yard Work

Our mission is to serve stray, abandoned, orphaned, injured and abused companion animals by providing medical care and shelter in times of need, locating lifelong homes, and promoting responsible pet guardianship through education, legislation and sterilization.
Description
Animal Rescue League of El Paso, Inc. is a volunteer based, no-kill organization, founded in 1995. ARL rescues, rehabilitates and places approximately 1,600 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies a year. Over 14,000 animals have been adopted into responsible, loving, lifelong homes since our beginning. No animal is euthanized unless it is on a veterinarian's advice to end or prevent pain and suffering from a terminal untreatable illness or physical ailment, or in cases when severe, uncorrectable dangerous behavioral problems prevent the animal's placement.
Animal Rescue is a private, non-profit, charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status, which does not receive any government funding or tax dollars. We are supported solely by private donations from caring people in our community and small grants.
