Help us get gently-used books into the hands of teachers and students across the country! Millions of books are simply sitting on bookshelves, no longer being used. Running a BookDrive! at your office, school, or church can be a fun and easy way to collect these books and help provide teachers with the resources they need to reach their students.

About Us:

BooksFirst! is a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes high-quality books to under-resourced classrooms (K-12), enabling students to become lifelong readers by reusing books, equipping teachers, and creating opportunities. Volunteers from across the country have engaged in our effort, whether through hosting BookDrives!, donating their own books, or getting more involved on our Book Collection Committee. Host a BookDrive!

Hosting a BookDrive! is relatively easy and has long-lasting impacts on the classrooms and students we serve. Simply set aside a week or two for a book drive and fundraiser at your chosen location, advertise the event, and watch your collection boxes fill with books! Afterwards, use the money you fundraised to ship them to our distribution center, and celebrate your work! The books you collect will be combined with other book donations, sorted into libraries of appropriate reading levels, and distributed directly to classrooms in need.
