Description

The Center for Cultural Interchange is calling on families of all backgrounds to host an exchange student this fall. CCI has openings at local schools for our exchange students and we are calling on all families to volunteer to host a student this fall.

Now more than ever, your family can make a difference by hosting an exchange student...making the lifelong dream of an international student come true, and yes, contributing in a small, but significant way, to global peace and understanding.

Call 800-634-4771 or visit http://www.cci-exchange.com/host.htm to learn more about the program and these students:

Paulina from Germany: She enjoys playing tennis, dancing, photography, and is also a member of the choir. Paulina has also studied French for four years and Spanish for two years. She also likes to travel and has been to almost every country in Europe and is interested in learning more about other countries and cultures. She is looking forward to learning more about the American culture and lifestyle, making friends and spending time with her host family.

Ana from Italy: She enjoys swimming, modern and classical dance as well as gymnastics. Anna also enjoys spending time with her friends, learning new languages, shopping and also photography. Anna also studied 3 years of German and Spanish. Anna's teachers describe as smart, intuitive and a regular contributor to class discussions. She is looking forward to her time in the U.S. and meeting her host family.

Trang from Vietnam: She enjoys handcrafts, cooking, exercising, and watching movies. Trang's favorite subjects at school are English, Math, and Chemistry. Her teachers describe her as hardworking, intelligent, dynamic and independent. She is looking forward to learning more about the American lifestyle and culture, making new friends, sharing her culture and being an active member of her host family.

Daniel from Brazil: He loves to play the drums and guitar and his favorite sports are soccer and handball. His teachers describe him as an amazing person, motivated to learn, dedicated and likes to help his classmates. Daniel also has a great sense of humor and he likes to make people laugh. During his exchange Daniel hopes to make a lot of friends in the United States. He also hopes to learn how to play football and baseball.

Richard from Germany: His favorite activities are snowboarding, watching sports on TV, tennis, skiing and he is a member of the diving club. Richard also enjoys studying chemistry and biology the most and hopes to earn a degree in natural sciences or to go to medical school. He is looking forward to learning more about the "American way of life" and improving his English during the exchange.
