Description
A Cancer Resource Center will be opening in the Van Elslander Cancer Center in the fall and we are looking for volunteers who will be able to commit to 1-2 days a week for a few hours each day.
The job responsibilities would include:
*Greeting patients, promoting the Cancer Resource Center in the private practices on site, helping patients find literature in the library, helping patients navigate a website, directing patients to call the American Cancer Society if they have questions.
There will be no medical advice given; the volunteer would serve as a point person to help the patient navigate available resources.
All volunteers will be trained before the opening.
