Description
Journey Hospice is looking for mature, non-judgemental, caring individuals supportive of the hospice concept of care, willing to serve others.
Volunteers play a vital role in the care of our patients and their families.
We offer 2 different types of volunteer opportunities: Direct care volunteers are individuals who would like to have contact with our patients and their families on a companion level. They can read, visit, run errands, etc for our patients and their families. Indirect care volunteers are individuals who would like to help in our office, help with special projects or help with our bereavement program. They do not have direct contact with our patients or their families.
Skills
* must be caring
* Positive attitude, "service with a smile"
* maintain strict confidentiality
* be in good emotional health
* reside in the general area
* be able to provide own transportation
* be at least 18 years of age
