We're looking for a few good men and women who are good walkers and good talkers! Good Samaritan Village needs help delivering daily mail to our 175 long term care residents. You would be responsible for sorting and delivering the mail and also have the opportunity to visit with many of our residents. Some will ask you to read their mail to them, other just want to chat. It takes about an hour each day (or longer if you really like to visit) and you can sign up for 1 or more days a week depending on your schedule. This job is usually done in the early afternoon and all the residents you deliver to are in the same building. When volunteers deliver the mail, our residents make new friends and our staff members have more time to devote to the care of each resident.

Must be able stand and sort mail. Must be able to read. Must be able to walk and push a mail cart that weighs about 25 pounds. Must be a good listener, friendly and compassionate.
